Track, Verify & Compete: How to Use Your SharpSideBaseball Profile
A complete guide to logging your MLB bets and baseball event contracts, becoming a verified Pro, making your profile public, and climbing the leaderboard.
Track, Verify & Compete: How to Use Your SharpSideBaseball Profile
SharpSideBaseball isn't just a terminal for reading the MLB market — it's a place to prove you can beat it. Your profile is where every contract you buy, every wager you place, and every unit you win (or lose) on baseball gets logged into a verifiable, shareable record. Here's how to make the most of it.
1. Log Every MLB Position
The Positions tab is your personal baseball trading journal. Every time you buy an MLB event contract or place a wager, you can log it in SharpSideBaseball so nothing falls through the cracks.
What to track
- Game or futures market — e.g. "Yankees vs Red Sox 7/14" or "Dodgers to win World Series"
- Market type — moneyline, run line, total, F5, YRFI/NRFI, player prop, futures
- Platform — Kalshi, Polymarket, Robinhood, Coinbase, DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, PrizePicks
- Entry price or odds — what you paid when you opened the position
- Stake or unit size — how much risk you took
Why this matters
Most bettors remember their walk-off winners and forget their getaway-day losses. Logging every MLB position — wins, losses, pushes — forces an honest accounting of your actual edge. Over a 162-game season, the data reveals whether you really beat the market or just rode a hot stretch in May.
Pre-game lock & auto-settlement
For a pick to count toward your public, verifiable record, you must share it before first pitch. Once a game has started, the Share button on that position is replaced with a Locked pill — late shares are still saved to your private log but they don't count toward stats that other users see.
Once a game ends, SharpSideBaseball pulls the final score directly from the MLB Stats live feed and automatically settles moneyline, run line (±1.5), and totals picks roughly three hours after first pitch. You don't have to remember to log back in — your ROI, units, and win rate update on their own. (Player props and event contracts you've taken on Kalshi/Polymarket can be settled manually as Win / Loss / Push.)
SharpSideBaseball calculates your ROI, total units, and win rate automatically, broken down by market type (sides, totals, props, futures).
2. Become a Verified SharpSideBaseball Pro
Anyone can log picks. Only verified Pros have a track record other users can trust.
How verification works
A Verified SharpSideBaseball Pro badge is earned, not bought. Once you have 20 or more settled picks that were shared before first pitch with a publicly visible record, your profile automatically qualifies. The pre-game requirement is the whole point — it's what makes the record tamper-evident.
What the badge means
- Your MLB pick history is public and tamper-evident — every pick on it was timestamped before the game it referenced started
- Your ROI and unit totals come from real, settled outcomes resolved against official MLB results
- Other users can follow you to get notified when you share new positions
Note: Pro subscription and verified status are separate. You can be a paying Pro subscriber without being verified, and you can be verified without paying for Pro. Only Pro subscribers can set advanced alerts, receive email alerts, and see move duration estimates.
3. Go Public (or Stay Private)
Your profile is private by default. Only you can see your positions, P&L, and pick history.
Making your profile public
In Profile Settings, toggle "Make profile public". Once public:
- Anyone on SharpSideBaseball can view your pick history and stats
- Your name appears on the SharpSideBaseball Pros leaderboard
- Other users can follow you to see your picks in their feed
- You can follow others to see how the best baseball bettors are playing slates
Leaderboard rankings
The Handicappers section ranks both real-world MLB handicappers and SharpSideBaseball Pros in a single unified leaderboard. Rankings sort by total units won — the fairest cross-bankroll comparison.
Your position is determined entirely by your settled pick history. No manual curation. If the numbers say you're profitable on baseball, you climb.
4. Build Your Following
SharpSideBaseball is better when you trade alongside sharp baseball people.
Follow other verified Pros
Their shared picks land in your Following Feed — a curated timeline from the bettors you trust, no algorithm.
Let others follow you
When you share a pick from your Positions tab, it appears in your followers' feeds. Build a reputation by:
- Logging your MLB positions honestly
- Settling them when games end
- Sharing the ones you want to broadcast
- Letting the numbers speak
A bettor with 500 followers and a +8% ROI across 300 settled MLB picks is very different from one with 2 followers and +200% from three plays.
